To this end we have now developed programmes with leading designers, mainly from the European Union & the USA, and have had very satisfactory results. We are also collaborating with leading design institutes in India and abroad to place students for short internships. Plans include the setting up of specific silk design courses at these institutes and a design lab, to study design with particular focus on fabric/silk design.
